The art of photography

“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
— Ansel Adams

MILK
BATH

SHOOT

Milk bath shoots-a milk bath shoot involves taking a portrait shot with the model submerged in water, usually made cloudy with milk, milk powder, or lemon juice, or colored with bath bombs or food colorants.
The one shoot was a classic milk bath with flowers and the second was a candy-themed milk bath where I colored the water with a mixture of food gel and cream mixed in with water in the tub.

ABOUT

MOOD

Portrait photography is about much more than a snapshot of somebody's face; it's about capturing the essence of a person's identity and attitude, which is exactly what I did with models Marijke and Nadia. There is an exploration into a light and innocent theme as well as a dark and moody theme.

I absolutely adore using both indoor and outdoor environments which are selected to match the personality of my model.

CORPORATE
PHOTOGRAPHY

I do shoots for online store product listings as well as styled shoots for social media and website imagery. These shoots are styled with brand CI in mind. The aim is to shoot well enough and save time on editing.

Examples of my work can be seen on the Gincident online store, available at Gincident.co.za

My main brand is currently Dragon's Keeper Gin. Have a look at my shoots on the Dragon's Keeper website, available at DragonsKeeper.com, as well as the Instagram and Facebook pages linked to it.
